Buygone home products: what could go wrong?

(click ads for closer look)
L—It's the instant action Flame Gun. "Clear stairs (except wood), walks, driveways of snow, ice." Note that the ad also encouraged you to use the product in the Summer on "weeds." (image via)
R—It's the "Homko" push-button remote control lawnmower...the "Mow-Bot." Note the shadowy character holding the signs "Now!" and "The Robot." (image via)

Okay, this is probably totally out of left field, but I feel like once upon a time you posted a fantastic picture of a truck with 'was it worth it' spraypainted on the back, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Any idea what I'm talking about?
In any case, I have been reading this thing for ages and would like to say that this is a really great blog. Yes.

They still make a very similar version of the Flame Gun. Fun stuff.

I have a mow- bot from the '50s'and it still works. My father in law died years ago and I found it in the barn. Can you help me find out what it is worth and if there are any service manuals available. Would like to restore and possibly sell..Fun toy to have in the summer. Drink a beer and let the robot cut your lawn. People stop to enjoy...
